Casino boats are currently in vogue in Myrtle Beach and Brunswick, Georgia, so the mayor of Charleston, South Carolina, believes his city should consider jumping on the gambling bandwagon.

Mayor Keith Summey has asked city staff to check out the nearby gambling ships to determine whether it might be a good way for the city to generate additional cash to meet budget needs.

As far as he is concerned, the cruise ships would not affect the community’s lifestyle since the gambling wouldn’t start until the boats have cleared state waters.
