A review of the hamburgers at the Peppermill in Las Vegas

PEPPERMILL

2985 Las Vegas Blvd S; Las Vegas, 89102 Phone: 735-4137

If you’re looking for perfect scores, find a new way to slam dunk a basketball. But one burger at the Peppermill as the legendary country group Alabama once sang, "is close enough to perfect for me."

This is one dining establishment where you truly don’t mind paying for the atmosphere. Whether it’s the cozy booths, delectable drinks, friendly staff, lively atmosphere, the 24-hour open venue or the fireside romance, this joint rocks to use a Sinatra-ism.

And he probably ate there. If not, he sure would have.

Usually you need a reservation and you may be sitting awhile, but believe me it’s well worth the wait. The burger is thick, juicy and large. The fries are super and you don’t get cheated. And there’s always the shakes and ice creams afterward if you still have room.

It’s not cheap (close to $20 per person) but like we said, this is an experience. Mention a lunch date at the Peppermill and you won’t get turned down often – unless you don’t pick up the tab.

Again, the Peppermill does violate our policy of spending more than $15 for a burger meal, but we waived it off. And will do so every time.
