Red Rock Casino, the hub of Station Casinos properties in Las Vegas, is building a seasonal amphitheatre that will host concerts throughout the summer.

The 8,800-seat structure is 1,300 more than last year’s design and will be located outdoors by the food court.

The amphitheatre encompasses over 2.6 acres with the emphasis on intimacy. The furthest seat is only 200 feet from the stage, allowing a close-up concert setting.

Completion date is June 3 with more than 21,000 square feet of artificial turf covering the floor of the seating area. The stage is 60 feet by 40 feet by 5½ feet and will be covered by a skinned roof. The back of the house includes plenty of space for tour busses.

The concert series kicks off with Motley Crue and Poison with special guests New York Dolls on Saturday, June 18. Other acts already booked include Toby Keith and Erik Church on Saturday, Aug. 6, and Enrique Iglesias on Saturday, Oct. 8.

Ticket prices are going for $49, $69 and $89 with Gold Circle seats at $159. Customers can purchase seating at any Station Casinos Rewards Center or the Fiestas by calling 547-5300 or logging on to www.stationcasinos.com/concerts or www.ticketmaster.com.

Every concert seat will be assigned. There will be no standing room or general admission seats. There are tunnels are under each set of bleachers for easy access.
