The addition of table games at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races in West Virginia has helped the property raise its race handle to record proportions.

Officials announced total race handle during the month of March exceeded $29.4 million, which made the average daily handle about $1.2 million.

Track operations director Erich Zimny said this was the single largest monthly total in the nearly 78-year history of the track. He also noted that over the past three years the average daily handle in the first quarter has risen nearly 40 percent.

The track is owned by Penn National Gaming Inc. (PENN).
