The jobless rate increased in Las Vegas during the month of June. Nevada officials said the unemployment rate for Las Vegas rose to 12.1 percent from the 11.8 percent reported in May.
For the entire state, the rate remained at 11.6 percent, officials reported.
National statistics had the unemployment rate at 8.2 percent in May and June.
Officials noted that Nevada added 200 private sector jobs during the reporting period.
