As a precautionary measure, Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. (PNK) said Monday it was closing its Boomtown Casino New Orleans. The announcement came as Tropical Storm Isaac was headed toward the Gulf Coast.

“The safety of our guests, our more than 700 team members and the West Bank Community,” caused the move said General Manager Barry Regula.

Also, the company said it would postpone the Aug. 29 opening of L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge in Louisiana.
