Global Gaming Expo offers view of gaming industry future

A view to the future of gaming, as well as a series of major keynote events will highlight this year’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E) that is taking place at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.

“The keynote events,” said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the American Gaming Association, “will provide gaming professionals with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain invaluable insights on the future of gaming, within the context of the current economic and political environment.”

Delivering the initial keynote address will be Katty Kay, a BBC America anchor and the co-author of Womenomics: Write Your Own Rules for Success.”

On Wednesday, Jon Ralston of the “Face to Face with Jon Ralston” television show will moderate a group of six well-known industry leaders. They include: Michael Leven, president and COO of Las Vegas Sands Corp.; Jim Murren, chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International; Brian R. Gamache, chairman and CEO of WMS Industries Inc.; Dick Haddrill, CEO and director of Bally Technologies Inc.; Patty Hart, CEO of International game Technology, and Walter Bugno, president and CEO of Spielo International.

The keynote events conclude on Thursday with an address by Donald “Del” Laverdure, acting assistant secretary of Indian Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior.
