Since the State of Illinois has passed a law permitting video lottery machines to be installed in licensed establishments, the northern community of Sycamore has decided to join the fun.
The town’s aldermen voted last week to permit video lottery machines to be installed in bars, restaurants and fraternal organization locations just as soon as the state says a computer monitoring system currently being tested passes muster.
The town plans to use expected revenue on capital construction projects for the benefit of the community and to add jobs.
