The popularity of interactive game free play continues to grow, a fact not being ignored by casino operators throughout the country. On Monday, DoubleDown Interactive, a wholly-owned division of International Game Technology (IGT) announced it had signed 15 new land-based casino partners who will be featuring its content on their websites.

This brings to 24 the number of properties that have signed on with DoubleDown.

DownDown content currently includes some of the best known games developed by IGT. Listed in the group are Da Vinci Diamonds and Cleopatra. Plans call for a number of other IGT titles to be added to the content list.

Robert Melendres, IGT executive vice president of emerging businesses, noted that that the free-play DoubleDown Casino encourages players “to return to the casinos for even more exciting game play.”

The new game participants include casinos in California, Colorado, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Florida, Minnesota, South Dakota and Virginia.

In addition to the previously mentioned games, DoubleDown also offers a newly-released Bingo game, and multi-player poker tied directly to the casino’s website.
