Boyd Gaming Corp. (BYD) sees the acquisition of Peninsula Gaming as “a near and long-term growth opportunity.” That was what the company indicated during an investor presentation at the Deutsche Bank Leveraged Finance Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., last week.
The company was particularly focused on Peninsula’s Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kan.
The property is owned by the Kansas Lottery but is operated by Peninsula.
Since its opening last December, Kansas Star has generated revenue of $144.1 million.
