Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval has appointed A.G. Burnett as the new chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Burnett joined the board in January. He succeeds Mark Liparelli who resigned last month. Prior to becoming a Control Board member, Burnett was depuy chief of the agency’s corporate securities division.
Republic Airways and Caesars Entertainment Corporation (CZR) have signed a three-year agreement under which the airline will operate five Embraer E190 aircraft to provide more than 1,500 flights annually for Caesars’ customers throughout the United States.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation has denied an application for a grant to the City of Natchez for a $2.5 million park. The area was sought by both the city and by Magnolia Bluffs Casino for the Natchez Trails Project.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has advised potential bidders that only three weeks remain before the bidding deadline for the last remaining casino license. Although several companies are reportedly interested in the license, the frontrunner seems to be developer Bart Blatstein’s proposal for a $700 million casino project in the former ehadquart4rs of The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News.

A bankruptcy judge in Reno, Nevada, has approved the restructuring plan for the Silver Legacy Resort.
The Seneca Nation of Indians has completed a $53 million expansion of the Seneca Allegany Casino and Hotel in Salamanca, New York. The project has add 200 rooms to the hotel.
