BYI settles patent infringement lawsuit brought by IGT

Bally Technologies Inc. (BYI) says it has settled a patent infringement lawsuit brought by rival slot machine manufacturer International Game Technology (IGT).

As part of the settlement, the company said it will license IGT’s technology for monitoring such things as player bonuses. Bally Tech also agreed to dismiss its counterclaims with prejudice.

The remainder of the settlement agreement remains confidential, the company said.
