The Greenbrier, the famed golf club that has added gaming to its attraction, has complied with a West Virginia Lottery Commission edict that it stop busing gamblers into its facility.

The Lottery officials said the law permitting the property to have gambling specifically prohibits allowing Virginia charter bus companies to bring in so-called “day trippers.”

Also the Greenbrier has stopped providing “casino club” passes to people who own property at the Glade Springs resort near Beckley, and the Wintergreen resort near Charlottesville, Va.

According to the regulations, if a group came to play golf and have dinner, they would not be allowed into the casino.
