Reuters reported last week that Bally Technologies Inc. (BYI) has been looking over online game maker 3G Studios as a potential takeover target.
3G Studios of Reno, Nevada, had hired Wedbush Securities as its financial adviser as it sought either a buyer or a partner.
Other companies that reportedly have looked at 3G are International Game Technology (IGT) and Activision Blizzard, according to Reuters.
One analyst was quoted as say the “social gaming business is up for grabs.”
