The Canadian gambling company Clairvest has withdrawn plans to locate a slots parlor in Littleton, Massachusetts, after meeting with town officials.
The Toronto-based company said last week that although it is still interested in locating a slots facility somewhere in the Commonwealth it had cancelled any such plans for Littleton.
Prior to meeting with town officials, the company said it was interested in a building on a 90-acre site just north of Interstate 495 and close to the intersection of Route 2 as the proposed site.
In order for Clairvest to continue its interest in a license, it must pay an application fee before the January 15 deadline.
