It appears South Carolina is on its way to outlawing the Internet Sweepstakes cafés that have inundated many areas on the East Coast.
The state Senate has approved a bill specifying that such activities are illegal, thus eliminating any ambiguity in the current laws regarding video gambling.
Other states have recently taken action to eliminate such gambling locations where there are no laws regulating their operation.
