SHFL Entertainment Inc. (SHFL), known for many years as Shuffle Master, a developer and distributor of table games, entered a new phase on Monday with the installation of Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) in New York.
“Our first big rollout of VLTs in such an important market as New York is very exciting,” said Gavin Isaacs, company CEO.
“This is only the beginning of what we hope to be a very promising future for our slot machine segment in the United States,” he added.
SHFL Entertainment’s new phase was made possible last November when it formed a relationship with SPIELO International USA LLC. The latter company had previously been licensed to provide VLTs to the various gambling facilities in New York State. SPIELO now can license the VLTs they will lease from SHFL Entertainment.
SPIELO also will provide technical support for SHFL’s products as part of a three-year agreement.
Among the themed products being offered by SHFL are Eureka Gold Mining, Chomp! And Cats, Hats and Bats.
When the rollout is completed, SHFL machines will be installed at Hamburg Casino at the Fairgrounds, Finger Lakes Casino and Racetrack, Saratoga Casinos and Raceway, Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway and Resorts World Casino at Aqueduct racetrack.
