MGM Resorts Intl. not rushing into online poker

The fact that Station Casinos has launched real-money online poker through its UltimatePoker.com isn’t pushing MGM Resorts International (MGM) into the fray…at least not without more study.

Concerns over the size of the Nevada market, and overall costs, have caused MGM to take a detailed look at the activity prior to going forward.

Talking to Reuters last week, Dan D’Arrigo, the company’s CFO, said that the company had not ruled it out but felt more study had to be made of the costs since Nevada offers such a small market area.
