Michael Thomas, former chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe that operates the Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut, has been convicted of embezzling about $100,000 of tribe’s funds.

A federal jury last week spent less than two hours deliberating their decision.

The prosecution charged that Thomas continued using tribal funds for personal use even after having been told to stop.
