AGA honors Richard J. Rizzo with 2013 Sarno Award

The American Gaming Association (AGA) has announced it will honor Richard J. Rizzo, vice chairman of Perini Building Company, Inc., with the 2013 Sarno Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award recognizes Rizzo for his “unmatched contributions to casino resort construction across the United States,” said the AGA.

In making the announcement, Geoff Freeman, president and CEO of the AGA, said, “It is with great honor that we present the 2013 Sarno Lifetime Achievement Award to Dick Rizzo. He has played an integral part in the construction of some of the country’s most well-known casino resorts, and has helped to shape the Las Vegas skyline we see today.”

Among the projects with which Rizzo has been affiliated were: Caesars Place Hotel & Casino, CityCenter Las Vegas, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa & Casino; Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, Luxor Las Vegas, Palms Casino Resort, and Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
