Early registrations have encouraged the American Gaming Association (AGA) and Reed Exhibitions to believe this year’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E) will be the “largest trade show floor since the 2008 event.”
So far, said the G2E operators, more than 455 companies have registered for more than 285,000 square feet of exhibit hall space – an increase of more than 25,000 square feet, or nearly 10 percent, over last year’s sale numbers.
Considered the premier trade show and conference event for the gaming industry, G2E provides industry professionals with access to cutting-edge products and technologies. Also, attendees are offered networking opportunities and educational programming.
This year’s event is slated for Sept. 23-26 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
In commenting on the early registrations, Reed’s Courtney Muller, senior vice president, said, “We are extremely pleased to announce that the trade show at G2E 2013 will be the largest showcase since 2008 and will feature the latest technologies, products, and services that will shape the business of the gaming industry for years to come.
“G2E is the top show in the world for the gaming industry and once again will provide attendees with a one-of-a-kind experience that will keep them at the forefront of the latest trends and insights.”
Of note, said the AGA, were the overall sales increases seen in the iGaming Zone, considered by some industry experts to be a major player in the future of gaming.
“The iGaming Zone will feature more than 19 exhibitors in 2,900 square feet of event space, an increase of 1,100 square feet or 61 percent over last year.
Also showing substantial increases were the reservations for the Food, Beverage and Hospitality Pavilion, officials said.
