Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. (ISLE) reported higher revenues but a loss for the quarter that ended on July 28.
The company said its revenues climbed to $247.7 million from last year’s $235.8 million but there was a loss of $4.9 million or $0.12 per share compared to a profit last year of $6.7 million or $0.17 per share.
Part of the loss was attributed to pre-opening expenses for Lady Luck Nemacolin in Pennsylvania. There also was a gain on the sale of its corporate aircraft. Total loss due to charges amounted to $0.05 per share, the company said.
