Authorities have seized gambling machines from two places in South Carolina.

Officers removed a dozen gambling machines, two ledgers and more than $2,500 in cash from a Columbia home.

Police say 64-year-old Herman Creech was arrested and charged with gambling/keeping gaming house. Three people inside the home were cited for allegedly playing the machines.

Also Thursday, two gambling machines were seized from a Myrtle Beach laundromat. The owner of that business, 64-year-old Dennis McGrath, was charged with operating a gaming house.

Officers said McGrath’s machines could toggle back and forth between legal and illegal games. Authorities also seized about $900 from the business.

It wasn’t known if any of those charged had attorneys.
