On Tuesday, voters in both Revere and East Boston, Massachusetts, will decide whether they approve of a casino license being granted to the owners of Suffolk Downs racetrack. Unfortunately, the referendum also includes the track’s previous partner, Caesars Entertainment Corp., which has withdrawn from participation in the project.
So Suffolk Downs, which has received the blessing of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, is searching for a partner…one that would be OK’d by the regulators and one that would accept the conditions of the Caesars agreement.
A track official said they hoped to have a partner in place by Dec. 31.
