This year will mark the 30th anniversary of the movie “A Christmas Story,” and a Cleveland casino will re-create some of the scenes from that holiday feature.
Because the film includes holiday-decorated windows from the Higbee Building in downtown Cleveland, officials explain.
And that’s the building that now houses the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland, co-owned by Dan Gilbert’s Rock Ohio and Caesars Entertainment Corp.
Plans call for nostalgic animatronic holiday scenes to be placed within the window on the building’s street level.
Casino officials also note Cleveland is the home of “A Christmas Story” House and Museum. That’s the house the movie character Ralphie Parker lived in. The museum is also planning a 30th anniversary celebration.
