Tim Poster, former partner of Ultimate Gaming’s Tom Breitling in the ownership of the Golden Nugget Hotel/Casino in downtown Las Vegas, failed to receive the support of the Nevada Gaming Control Board at a meeting last week.
The three-member board failed to find Poster, a former executive with Wynn Resorts Ltd. (WYNN), suitable for licensing. His application now goes before the Nevada Gaming Commission. Poster would need a unanimous vote for approval.
The Board reportedly questioned some of Poster’s Internet sports betting and his relationship with a convicted former strip club owner.
