SGMS sells interest in Sportech Systems

Scientific Games Corporation (SGMS), in the process of expanding its activities from the lottery business to the manufacturing of gaming machines, says it has sold its interest in Sportech Systems.

Proceeds from the sale will assist the company in funding its expansion program in the gaming industry. The company recently purchased gaming machine manufacturer WMS Technologies.

Also, SGMS announced it had signed a new contract to implement and operate a complete lottery gaming system for the State of Maine.

The contract extends through June 30, 2020.
