N.J. pushing for Internet gambling expansion

Jan 27, 2014 7:09 PM

New Jersey has just begun permitting online gambling but a pair of legislators are already pushing to expand the project.

Senators Ray Lesniak and Jim Whelan are sponsoring legislation that would allow the Internet gambling sites to take bets from other states and even other countries.

Current law requires the players to be physically located within the state’s borders.

The lawmakers say their goal is to give Atlantic City casinos access to the global Internet gaming market.
