New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan has not given up on her attempt to get lawmakers to approve at least one casino for the Granite State.
Her effort during the last legislative session failed but she is undaunted.
“Instead of funding Massachusetts’ needs,” she said, “let’s take this opportunity to invest in New Hampshire’s priorities and help grow the state’s ability to oversee one (casino).”
A bill in the Senate calling for two casinos has been placed on hold while the House members debate a proposal for one casino submitted by a study committee created by Hassan.
