Operators of the Monticello, N.Y., racino are moving forward with their plans to build a $750 million casino resort on the site of the old Concord Hotel.
Empire Resorts and EPR Properties of Kansas City, Missouri, have presented to officials plans for a 1,110-room resort. They said they could start building within a month if granted one of four casino licenses planned for the upstate New York area.
They said the project would involve thousands of construction jobs as well as about 2,200 full-time and part-time workers for the hotel/casino when completed.
