Members of the Culinary Workers Union Local 226 in Las Vegas have voted to authorize a strike if ongoing bargaining doesn’t yield a contract.

The strike vote affects nearly a dozen casinos, most of them located in the downtown Las Vegas area.

Negotiations have been ongoing with the casinos since previous contracts expired last summer.
