June was a good month on the Las Vegas Strip as gaming revenues posted by casinos along the Strip corridor increased 9.74 percent to $488.92 compared to the same month a year ago, according to figures from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Statewide, the increase for the month was 6.80 percent to $887.41 million compared to June 2015.
Revenues for the month from all Clark County casinos were $761.62 million during June, 7.33 percent higher, the Board reported, Strip numbers obviously skewing those generated in the rest of the county.
Casinos in the downtown area showed a slight increase during June, up 0.56 percent to $43.25 million, while those on the Boulder Strip and in North Las Vegas lost a bit of ground during June, down 0.10 percent and 1.34 percent, respectively, to $69.22 million and $23.59 million.
The statewide win for the 12 months of the fiscal year ended June 30 was 0.66 percent higher at $11.12 billion. The 12 month fiscal year win on the Las Vegas Strip was $6.29 billion, 0.64 percent higher than the previous fiscal year.
