Kansas’s newest casino and hotel complex near Pittsburg will have its grand opening April 8, officials with the Kansas Crossing Casino + Hotel have announced.
The $80 million facility’s first day will feature not only the opening of the casino floor and two restaurants, but the first concert at the new indoor entertainment venue, “The Corral”, as well. What entertainer or which act will christen the venue has not been announced.
The casino, located in the southeastern portion of the state, will feature more than 625 slot machines, 16 gaming tables, a 123-room Hampton Inn and Suites as well as the entertainment complex.
Kansas Crossing will join state-owned casinos Dodge City, Mulvane and Kansas City, Kansas. In Kansas, the state owns the casinos but they are built and managed by private companies.
Native American tribes also own several casinos in the state.
