In Southern Nevada, Golden Entertainment has opened the first of seven new taverns planned for the region in 2017.
The PT’s Gold at 7355 S. Buffalo Drive, near West Warm Springs Road, is the 54th Golden Entertainment-operated tavern in the state, with only two of those outside the Las Vegas Valley, according to a company statement.
It will employ 20 people and seat 74 in the dining area, 27 at the bar.
The company says that all totaled, the new taverns will hire more than 200 full-time and part-time workers, including managers, bartenders, cooks and more.
Five of the upcoming taverns are in the fast-growing southwest region of Clark County. A sixth is near Centennial Hills in Las Vegas, and the final one is in the Green Valley area. The company is Nevada’s largest traditional tavern operator.
Blake L. Sartini II, senior vice president of distributed gaming for Golden Entertainment, said in a news release, “The opening of Golden Entertainment’s 54th tavern is the first step in our 2017 development plan to grow the company by bringing the PT’s business model into neighborhoods seeking entertainment choices.” He continued, “Our 2017 development plans follow the company’s growth activities a year ago in which we opened five new taverns.”
