Hard Rock International, a major player in the casino and hospitality realm, is moving its corporate headquarters to South Florida. The company includes 11 casinos, 23 hotels and 160 cafes in more than 70 countries and has been based in Orlando since the Seminole Tribe bought it in 2007.
In February, the company announced a major expansion plan for its South Florida resort, which includes a new hotel shaped like a giant guitar. The property, located in Hollywood, will increase the resort's rooms to 1,273 and add five new restaurants as part of a $1.8 billion project. The details of the move and timing are yet to be announced.
