Oklahoma lawmakers eyeing an expansion of Indian gaming

Lawmakers in Oklahoma seem to be eyeing an expansion of Indian gaming for new state revenue, suggests legislation filed this week in the House of the ongoing special session.

The Tulsa World reports a bill proposal approved Tuesday by the House Rules Committee would allow tribal casinos to offer forms of “ball-and-dice” games such as roulette and craps.

The bill appears similar to one that failed near the end of the spring regular session. Senate leadership opposed expansion of Indian gaming last spring.
