San Bernardino police are continuing their crackdown on illegal gambling in that Southern California city as they served search warrants and busted what they say are illegal gambling operations conducted at three Internet cafes.
The new raids earlier this week followed similar moves in recent months in the city and focused on Internet cafes that police believe “were, in fact, running illegal gambling operations.” Officers seized machines resembling arcade games, some able of handle six to eight players, and at least $6,000 to $8,000 in cash, according to police.
In October, police seized several guns, gambling machines, some drugs and in excess of $100,000 in cash from several locations in San Bernardino.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
