The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has announced Great Canadian Gaming Corp. and its partner, Clairvest Group Inc., have been chosen to run a casino and three slots operations west of Toronto for the next 20 years. In August, Great Canadian won a lucrative contract to run the casinos in the Greater Toronto Area.

The latest deal makes Great Canadian, which is based in Coquitlam, B.C., the major gambling operator in Ontario. When both contracts are finalized, the company will control gambling at casinos in Eastern Ontario to Woodbine Racetrack in Greater Toronto, and a casino in Brantford and slots at Mohawk Racetrack and Flamboro Downs west of Toronto.

The contract was awarded despite recent money-laundering allegations dealing with Great Canadian's River Rock Casino in British Columbia, near Vancouver.
