The June 23, 2018 “Jockeys and Jeans,” event, the now yearly benefit to raise funds for the Permanently Disabled Jockey Fund (PDJF) to be held this year at Canterbury Park near Minneapolis, will feature Hall of Fame riders from all across North America and will include both a live and a silent auction on all types of premium items.
“Jockeys and Jeans” began as a reunion for jockeys across the United States and has gradually become a significant source of revenue for the PDJF as it efforts to financially and medically assist fallen riders.
More information on the fifth annual “Jockeys and Jeans” event may be found on the organization’s Facebook page at “Jockeys and Jeans” or through their website at jockeysandjeans.com.
Horseracing fans and participants that are unable to attend are urged to purchase a commemorative hat through the “Jockeys and Jeans” website to show their support for these under-appreciated athletes who risked their lives for the enjoyment of race fans and bettors.
