Caesars Entertainment has posted numerous sports book jobs in Mississippi on several employment websites, including Linkedin, reports playusa.com, a website covering legal online gambling in the U.S..
There are posts for sports book managers at both Biloxi’s Harrah’s Gulf Coast and Horseshoe Tunica in addition to supervisors and ticket writers for the properties. Mississippi is being tabbed by those following the roll out of legal sports betting in the U.S. as the next state, following Delaware and New Jersey, to begin legal sports betting operations.
Meanwhile, Mississippi’s Band of Choctaw Indians, after voting to amend the Choctaw Gaming Commission Regulations at a Special Call Tribal Council Meeting on May 31, said in a media release it would begin taking Pearl River and Bok Homa resorts ahead of the college football season.
The tribe has approved regulations regarding sports pools, race books and pari-mutuel racing but has yet to reveal if it would bring in an experienced risk management company or what kind of bet-taking technology it might use.
