JACK Entertainment, the Detroit-based, largely urban-centric gambling company, has been named a 2018 Top Northeast Ohio Workplace by The Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper. The recognition is based on an anonymous employee survey that analyzes and measures workplace culture.
The survey was administered by the research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.
“Our talented and dedicated team members are the heart and soul of this company. We strive to provide them with an outstanding work culture and create an atmosphere where hardworking, passionate individuals can flourish,” said Mark Tricano, senior vice president of operations, Northeast Ohio, for JACK Entertainment. “To receive this award is a true testament to our mission to make JACK a great place to work and play.”
JACK Entertainment and its affiliates own and operate JACK Cleveland Casino, Ohio’s first full-service casino located inside the historic Higbee Building in downtown Cleveland, and JACK Thistledown Racino, a Cleveland-area thoroughbred racetrack and gaming facility. These properties employ nearly 1,900 persons.
JACK, ranked 20th overall, joined other nationally known Northeast Ohio companies classified in the top twenty of the survey including Progressive Insurance (#1), Charles Schwab (#3), Sherwin-Williams (#11) and Cleveland Clinic Health Systems (#17).
