A Hard Rock casino project is now under construction by the Estom Yumeka Maidu Tribe of the Enterprise Rancheria in Northern California.
“Together, our goal is to bring the best, most exciting and authentic gaming, hospitality, and entertainment experiences to Northern California,” said Tribal Chair Glenda Nelson in a statement released Friday to local media,
To be called The Hard Rock Fire Mountain Casino, it will occupy a 40-acre site about 35 miles North of Sacramento.
“Hard Rock Fire Mountain will bring significant construction and permanent jobs, entertainment and dining options, and spur economic development in south Yuba County,” said County Supervisor Gary Bradford.
The tribe has yet to release any other information about the current project. Leaders have been trying to build a casino since 2002, however legal disputes with the state have stymied the plan in past years.
