A new single-month record for passenger traffic has been recorded at Southern Nevada’s McCarran International Airport.
Data released Monday by the Clark County Aviation Department reveals more than 4.42 million airline passengers arrived or departed from the Las Vegas airport in July, topping the previous record set just two months earlier.
McCarran has posted year-over-year gains in passenger traffic for 17 straight months and is currently the eighth-busiest airport nationally. Recent improvements include a refurbishing of Terminal 1 and seven new international gates within the D Concourse.
Other planned airport enhancements include new and improved retail and dining options, additional security lines and a modernization of the A, B and C Gates.
