Caesars Entertainment made a move to help address the lack of females being represented in the board rooms of gaming companies.
Juliana Chugg, a former executive with Mattel and General Mills, was named to the company’s board of directors. She is the second woman on Caesars’ 12-member board.
“Juliana has extensive senior executive experience and has successfully managed all aspects of multi-billion-dollar businesses, including operations, strategy, product innovation, marketing, e-commerce, branding and licensing,” Jim Hunt, Caesars chairman, said in a statement. “Juliana’s global general management and brand stewardship perspectives bring a welcome addition to the Caesars boardroom.”
Chugg’s appointment still must receive regulatory approval before becoming official.
