College basketball:

UNLV -8 at Wyoming: The Rebels won’t be at full strength as forward Derrick Jasper will be out for four weeks with a knee injury. Although he only contributed 6.7 points/game, he was a solid re-bounder and defensive player. He’ll be replaced by Kendall Wallace, an experienced junior guard. The Rebels are the better team, but Wyoming has been a Jekyll and Hyde at home, beating quality teams like San Diego State, hanging tough vs. New Mexico (2-point loss), but losing to lowly Colorado State. The Cowboys won’t be at full strength, however, as they’ve lost Afam Muojeke for the season (knee injury). With their up-and-down style, give the nod to the Rebels to win this one comfortably. UNLV -8

Other NCAA hoops selections:

Northern Iowa -6 over Wichita State.

Charlotte -7 over George Washington

Richmond -4 ½ over St. Josephs

West Virginia -10 over Pittsburgh
