College basketball:

Siena -4½ at Niagara: At 14-0, Siena is running away with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title, though they haven’t shown signs of letting down. On Monday the Saints battled Fairfield on the road, and held off the Stags in the second half for a 2-point victory. That was the Saints’ 15th straight win. Niagara may be playing out the string after they blew a 14-point half time lead (at home) on Monday and allowed Rider to come back and win 70-62. Playing for pride may not be enough against the high-scoring Saints. Siena -4½

West Virginia -2½ at Pittsburgh: The Mountaineers are off a tough loss to Villanova, which probably knocked them out of Big East title contention. They’re just 2 ½ games behind Syracuse, but have already lost to the two teams ahead of them (Syracuse and Villanova). Pittsburgh is just a step behind West Virginia and they need this game to stay in contention. The Panthers play tough defense, especially at home, and while they expect to slow down the Mountaineers, they won’t be able to stop them completely. West Virginia -2½
