Colorado was priced as the +400 betting favorite to win the 2023 Stanley Cup as of Monday morning at DraftKings. Last week, Circa opened the Avs at +500 to claim the 2023 NHL title, and those odds remain the same as of today.

Here are the top-10 betting favorites at DraftKings as of Monday:

Top Three Contenders To Win 2023 Stanley Cup
Colorado Avalanche (+400, DraftKings)
Colorado was constructed to be the NHL’s most complete team. The fruits of that front-office labor helped the Avs hoist the 2022 Stanley Cup. The Avalanche have bona fide superstars in defenseman Cale Makar and forward Nathan MacKinnon. Makar won this year’s Conn Smythe Trophy as NHL Playoff MVP after amassing 29 points in 20 games during the postseason.
Colorado also has a deep stable of supporting players, including center Nazem Kadri and left wing Andre Burakovsky, who both missed significant time in this year’s Stanley Cup Final due to injury.
The only discernible weakness to shore up might be goaltending, as starter Darcy Kuemper was inconsistent at times. He was pulled in Game 3 of the NHL Final after allowing five goals on 22 shots.
Toronto Maple Leafs (+800)
Toronto center Auston Matthews captured a second-straight Rocket Richard Trophy as the NHL’s leading goal scorer this season. Matthews tallied 60 goals in 73 games.
Long-suffering Leafs’ fans hope that Matthews & Co. can bring home their first Stanley Cup since 1967 next season.
Circa was dealing Toronto at +800 odds, as well.
Tampa Bay Lightning (+900)
The Bolts had a chance to win their third straight Stanley Cup this year. Age might be catching up with some of Tampa Bay’s key players, but the Lightning should be back to contend for the Cup in 2023.
Veteran forward Steven Stamkos, at 32, isn’t getting any younger, but he led the Lightning with 106 points in the regular season. He won’t be a free agent until 2024, so expect Stamkos to be back in the fold next season.
Nikita Kucherov paced the offense during the playoffs this year with 27 points. He’ll turn 30 years old before next season starts. Standout defenseman Victor Hedman, 31, was also a lynchpin in the back-to-back Cup runs.
As long as the Lightning have Andrei Vasilevskiy between the pipes, Tampa Bay will have a chance to win regardless of the opponent. The Big Cat is under contract with Tampa Bay through 2027.
Circa offered the Lightning at +1000 to win the 2023 Stanley Cup as of Monday.
