This week we tried something new and it’s a place that’s even more fun when you go as a group.
I went to 8oz Korean Steakhouse & Bar located at 4545 Spring Mountain Road Suite #105. As we enter the final weeks of the World Series of Poker, this is another great place to go to after a long day at the Rio. 8oz is open until 2 a.m. daily which is perfect for when you are done playing poker to go with a group and talk about all those Bad Beats over a nice dinner.
There are plenty of Korean BBQ places around town and this one is one of my favorites. You can order your own dinner, but I highly recommend going with a group and ordering one of the Combo dinners. You can get a dinner Combo of Beef and Pork that will feed four. Or if you prefer just Beef or just Pork you can do that as well.
All of the Combos come with various side dishes. They have combos for two, three and four people. You get to pick from a list of various meats like Beef Brisket, Skirt steak, Pork Belly, Marinated Short Rib and Ribeye to mention a few.
What makes eating here fun is that all the meats are cooked right in front of you as every table has a grill built into it, so you get to take in all the sights and smells of your dinner being prepared for you. When your meat is cooked you take it right from the grill to your plate to enjoy.
The four-person Beef Combo is $119, which for a group of four is very reasonable for all the food you get to eat, not to mention how enjoyable it is to hang out as a group laughing, talking and watching your dinner being cooked.
For me, part of the fun is being able to take in all the smells at the table as it’s cooking which just heightens the enjoyment of the food even more.
The service at 8oz is excellent as the staff is very friendly and will help you with menu suggestions. You can get single dinners from $22 or get a four-person Combo, giving you great value when you bring a group. I give 8oz Korean Steakhouse & Bar a rating of 3.75 Forks.
