With Saints +3.5 getting home despite New Orleans’ 17-16 loss at the Tampa Bay Bucs on Monday night, Socrates Cherry III from Aliante Casino has won the third-quarter mini-contest of Bookies Battle 2022. The Saints pick marked Socrates’ 39th winner from NFL Weeks 10-13, one better than Michael Smoller (Wildfire Boulder Casino), who needed a Bucs cover to claim the quarter’s prize.

Socrates earns $500 with the mini-contest victory and has also punched his ticket to the playoff portion of the contest, where there’s another $2,000 at stake. The top 10 contestants in the final regular-season standings, plus the four mini-contest winners, will compete during the NFL playoffs.

The season-long Bookies Battle standings see second-quarter winner Kyle Wainscott (Rivers Casino Des Plaines) leading the way for the $3,000 top prize with 112 winners. Craig Steppach (Gold Strike) is second with 111 correct calls, before a gap of four games to first-quarter winner Casey Degnon (Westgate Las Vegas), and then Robert Kowalski (Baldini’s Casino) five games back.

Bookies Battle is an NFL picks contest among bookmakers throughout the sports betting landscape, including some of the top oddsmakers in the business. Check out the full standings here.

Week 13 marks the fourth straight plus-.500 week for consensus plays, and since Week 3, there have been just three losing weeks, in addition to one right at .500.
