The 2023 NFL Draft is set to be one of the wildest we’ve seen in the last few years. NFL Draft Odds have been all over the place as the public scrambles with hours remaining before the three-day event kicks off. We’re here to track the latest movement on one of the most polarizing prospects in the quarterback class.
Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson has been a spark plug for draft pundits to analyze. We’re diving into Anthony Richardson’s NFL Draft odds as he’s climbed boards and is favored to be selected No. 5 overall by the Seattle Seahawks.
The NFL Draft begins with the first round on Thursday, Apr. 27, at 8 p.m. ET in Kansas City. The draft continues Friday with Rounds 2 and 3 before concluding Saturday with Rounds 4 through 7.

Anthony Richardson NFL Draft Odds: The Boom-Or-Bust QB of 2023
Even the top sports betting apps are guessing as much as fans are about the order we’ll hear the names of the top five quarterbacks come off the board. Alabama’s Bryce Young has the inside track to go to Carolina at No. 1, but Kentucky’s Will Levis, Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud, Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker, and Richardson have their own fans and skeptics. One thing is for sure: Richardson has the highest ceiling despite also possessing the riskiest profile.
Richardson started for only one year at Florida, completing just 53.8% of his attempts in 2022. Those are two massive red flags that Richardson is too raw a talent to develop in the NFL. However, we’ve rarely seen such an immense skill set from a prospect.
The 6’4″, 235-pounder possesses elite arm strength and speed, plus showed off an uncanny ability to avoid sacks and make impactful throws downfield despite being under duress. He passed the eye test with how he maneuvers in a muddy pocket, even if some of his throws flew errant of the intended target.
Taking into the context that Florida ran an aggressive vertical offense that often had only two receivers and no viable check-down option for Richardson to inflate his complete rate, it’s not shocking his stats were so bad. Alas, he’s still a leap of faith, much like Josh Allen was out of Wyoming.
Quarterbacks Odds to Be Selected in the 2023 Draft
According to recent 2023 NFL Draft odds, Richardson is expected to be the fourth QB selected this week in KC.
Player | DraftKings | Caesars | FanDuel | BetRivers |
---|---|---|---|---|
Bryce Young (1st Overall) | -2000 | -1600 | -2000 | -2000 |
Will Levis (2nd Overall) | -130 | -140 | -135 | -135 |
C.J. Stroud (4th Overall) | +200 | +200 | +200 | +175 |
Anthony Richardson (5th Overall) | +225 | +215 | +225 | +220 |
Once thought to be a second-round talent, Richardson is now considered a top-10 pick. He’s done well throughout this offseason, showing off the physical traits needed to be a superstar at the position. He’s also said all of the right things about where he has to get better.
A supremely confident player who feels he’ll work hard enough to make the Hall of Fame one day, Richardson will have to back up the big talk with action. Teams will need to surround him with a solid supporting cast and show patience as Richardson sharpens his pre-snap adjustments and post-snap reads. He didn’t have the same developmental time in college as most top prospects benefit from.
The betting odds are doubting that teams will invest in a bigger project despite the higher upside. This would be a mistake by teams. There are maybe 10 quarterbacks who can consistently elevate their team enough to win and most have a skill set in the same ballpark as Richardson.

Seattle and Indianapolis are the teams with the shortest odds of drafting Richardson. Seattle is set to pick fifth overall, and the Colts are fourth overall. The Raiders, at No. 7, are +1100 to take him.
NFL Draft Odds: Anthony Richardson’s Draft Position
One way to bet on the 2023 NFL Draft is to bet the Over or Under on Richardson’s draft position.
By taking the Over, you’re saying Richardson will be taken after the listed draft position. For example, taking Over his 4.5 draft position line means you believe he’ll go fifth overall or later. Taking the Under means he’ll go between the first and fourth picks.
Will Levis Draft Position | DraftKings | Caesars | FanDuel | BetRivers |
---|---|---|---|---|
Over/Under 4.5 | Over (-330)/Under +255 | Over (-340)/Under +270 | Over (-335)/Under +255 | Over (-335)/Under +260 |
**Odds are current as of April 24.

Anthony Richardson Draft Odds: Who Will Be Drafted Earlier?
One of the more unique prop bets offered by DraftKings Sportsbook asks “Who will be drafted earlier?”
Bettors can choose either Richardson or Levis. Though Levis has many skeptics, he’s considered the heavy favorite in this prop bet. He garnered significant experience in an NFL-friendly scheme, and it’s easier to see what he could be as a finished product compared to Richardson.
Who Will Be Drafted First? | DraftKings | Caesars | FanDuel |
---|---|---|---|
Will Levis | -380 | -385 | -380 |
Anthony Richardson | +285 | +285 | +275 |
Richardson is certainly a tantalizing talent so this either/or bet from DraftKings can be a good opportunity to score some value. Levis is no longer a sharp bet as he’s the favored pick at No. 2 and No. 4. Sportsbooks have hedged their prices in case the Colts trade up for Levis in order to block the Titans or another suitor.
